“The Ghost of Yasuke”
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Inspired by the first African samurai of Japan, Yasuke, this is a digital speed drawing series titled "The Ghost of Yasuke", showcasing samurai masks who represent varying expressions of Yasuke. The styles of this personal project was influenced by Japanese inspired ukiyo-e paintings, infused with modern day Manga and Hip-Hop culture. 4hrs (each) to complete.

“Resist”
ABOUT THIS PROJECT (7.7.2020)
During a time of constant emotional, physical, mental and spiritual unrest, this personal project was intended to remind the citizens of the United States of America during 2020 to resist all that goes against LOVE. Resist your hate, but more importantly, your fears during this moment in time that we must unify. Resist escalating situations that result in death and protect your fellow human beings lives. We are in this together and we must unite and resist divisive behavior. One Love.

“Leo”
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
In honor of my personal favorite Leo, my grandmother, Joann Denson, I produced an instrumental using Logic X pro and digitally illustrated a music cover for the track. For the cover, I used a freestock photo of a lion and traced the main contours of the lion using a Wacom tablet and the mirror effect in photoshop. Above is a live take of how the music cover was assembled. 2hrs to complete.

“Malkia”
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Malkia, 'Queen Of God' and is of Hebrew origin, is an art production inspired by the spirit of the African woman. Animated is a representation of the African woman in the form of a flower; sharpe, defined curves met with the essence of her free inner spirit. A woman whose step toward glory is the mallet and life is her drum.
